I AM EXHAUSTED

This morning I am exhausted again for the same reason many of you are also feeling it to. Our country is showing us time and time again that they do not value us as the black race. Last night as riots broke out across our country and our President along many like-minded with him continued to focus in the actions of the looters to ensure to label them as "thugs" but continued to glaze over the reasons the riots and looting is happening in the first place. Us, Black people in America are tired. We are sick of seeing our brothers and sisters killed in the streets and having it all justified. We are tired of the skin we are born into being the very thing that causes us to walk throughout life daily with a target on our backs. We sleep with one eye open and have to watch our surroundings at every turn, simply for being who we were born to be. We are tired. We are tired of having to wonder when our black children walk into the world who may think that they do not belong and because they do not think we belong, what type of pain or agony they may chose to inflict upon them. We are tired and many of us have no other way of showing it but through anger. The anger and resentment that resides after having to watch similar scenarios continue to happen time and time again without any recourse is exhausting. I pray our black family takes the time to gather together and remember who we really are. We are great, we know it, and they do to. This is the main reason that they fear us because we are so powerful but we need to take back that power. Take back that power at the polls. Take back that power by helping our own communities and supporting our own business ventures. We have to be stronger together to overcome these obstacles.  Let's work together to do that. We just cant allow them to keep killing us in the streets.
